Women's Auxiliary Funds Carpet Replacement in the Safe House
We are pleased to announce that the Anti-Trafficking Safe House has brand new carpeting, thanks to a gift from The Salvation Army Orange County’s Women’s Auxiliary.
The Women’s Auxiliary is a group within The Salvation Army Orange County that helps with many programs, particularly those that help women and children. As they work on their budge, the Auxiliary is planning again to help the victims of human trafficking here in Orange County who live in:
- The Guest House, a long-term shelter designed to meet the needs of foreign-born human trafficking survivors awaiting immigration relief
- The Safe House, a 90-day emergency safe home designed to meet the needs of domestic born citizens of sex trafficking.
Did you know you can also help the Anti-Trafficking program by donating new items through Target’s registry? According to Morgan Guzman, our Anti-Trafficking Services Manager, the Guest and Safe Houses are in urgent need of household items, furniture, kitchen essentials, hygiene products and more. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, makes a difference.
Visit The Salvation Army Orange County’s Target registry to make a purchase and create a safe and welcoming space for survivors to heal and rebuild their lives. All purchases go directly to the anti-trafficking program. And, you get a tax deduction! The Salvation Army Orange County and Women’s Auxiliary thank you for your support.
Don’t miss the Auxiliary “Love Conquers All” luncheon with Ben Allen, program and education specialist for Alzheimer’s Orange County. It will be held from 11am-1pm on February 22 at 10200 Pioneer Rd., Tustin, CA 92782. To RSVP contact Suzanne De Mara at (949) 770-6622 by February 16.
