We wrapped it up again!
Again this year, a small group of employees, donors, and volunteers wrapped Christmas gifts and Christmas stockings for the residents in The Salvation Army Anti-Trafficking safe homes. Over the past four years, these elves have met at Lynn Freer’s home to enjoy a French meal and wrap the gifts. This year’s recipients include nine women, three men, and three children.
For the past two years, the elves also stuffed stockings for each resident.
Thanks to Bloomingdale’s
For the second year in a row, Leahann Miller from Bloomingdale’s provided gifts, including pajamas and beauty products for the residents. We are delighted that through Leahann, Bloomingdales not only provides these gifts but also gives The Salvation Army Orange County an annual grant to benefit the anti-trafficking program. Thanks to Bloomingdales and Leahann for their support.
Great work done in Orange County
The Salvation Army Orange County’s anti-trafficking program is the only emergency shelter in Orange County that takes in victims of both sex and labor trafficking. The shelter helps them with medical care, legal needs, education, job placement, and assistance needed to help them successfully evade their traffickers and reintegrate into the community.
Coming in the future?
We are also working with Bloomingdale’s to co-sponsor a tea and fashion show to benefit the Anti-Trafficking program. Stay tuned!
