Visit the inspirational garden and sign in Anaheim
Pastor Harvey Marquez, Pastoral Care Lead
This past week a few of our guests and staff at the Center of Hope and the Anaheim Red Shield facilities joined together to partner in a mini-beautification day, where were vamped our pallet rack planter, repainted and redid the lettering on the beautiful sign, planted some new plants and prayed over our display. It was a blessing to see others join us in the surrounding area to help clean up.
This is Round 1 of many projects to help beautify our temporary home. Due to the heavy winds the past few days, even the strong gust taking down our Anaheim sign, but look what still stood up, lights and all!
Round 2 will include weeding and planting flowers and succulents to beautify the area and make it a pleasant walking, reflecting, and praying place for our shelter guests, staff, and visitors.
You can drive by this beautiful display, which is between the Center of Hope and the Anaheim Adult Rehabilitation Center. The address is 1455 S. Salvation Army Place in Anaheim. Tours are available as well.
“They will come and shout for joy on the heights of Zion; they will rejoice in the bounty of the LORD— the grain, the new wine and the olive oil, the young of the flocks and herds. They will be like a well-watered garden, and they will sorrow no more.” (Jeremiah 31:12)
