Meet the people at Tustin Ranch Headquarters

Mar 1, 2024

When you first walk into the Tustin Ranch headquarters, you see Cindy Hodgkins sunshine smile. She greets everyone who comes in with her warm and kind demeanor. She also answers many questions on the phone and if she can’t personally help, she guides visitors and callers to someone who can.

Then you will walk past the desk of Claire O’Brien-Hawk, Major Ken’s personal assistant. She was previously an officer in The Salvation Army and also worked with FEMA, arranging a program of counseling services for disaster victims. She says she loves working on processes and making them better and that’s a big part of her job.

Lucero Camacho, Donor Relations Coordinator, works with around 700 donors and helps them learn about the variety of programs they can support. She says she asks why they chose The Salvation Army to fulfill their charitable goals. She tells a touching story about a man who, along with his siblings, contributes to The Salvation Army because of the help they gave his parents who fled from the Nazis during World War II. They came to New York penniless and hungry. The Salvation Army fed and clothed them until they could get back on their feet. They started a business and were able to help their children go to school and become successful.

Lucero says what she loves most about The Salvation Army is that everyone works together to enhance the Mission of The Salvation Army.

Fran Williams works in accounting. She doesn’t personally write checks but approves payments and collects contributions to forward to the Division. She loves her job and her Salvation Army friends. She says it’s the first job she has ever had where she is never unhappy about coming to work. She no longer frets on Sunday about having to go to work on Monday.

Last but not least, Ollie Nunn, Volunteer and Events Coordinator, is a bright, cheerful and dedicated young man. He and his wife are in the final steps to becoming foster parents. They are hoping to foster and maybe eventually adopt a young child between one and four years old. He says he has had a heart for adoption since he was a teenager and fostering will be the nextstep in his goal of adoption.

These are just a few of the many wonderful people you’ll see in the Tustin Ranch office. No matter who you see, you’ll feel the love and commitment to the mission of The Salvation Army.

Let us pray for you today!
