Majors Nesan and Cheryl Kistan's Farewell
It is with sadness that we say goodbye to Majors Nesan and Cheryl as they continue their work in Colorado. We will welcome new leaders, Majors Ken and Jenni Perine, coming from Washington State in August. We will have more information on our new leaders, in a future blog.
Here’s a letter from the Kistans:
Greetings friends, as Solomon reminds us in the book of Ecclesiastes there is a time for everything, and just as there are four seasons in each year, nothing ever remains the same. Life is full of seasons, when Cheryl and I signed our covenant to serve God within The Salvation Army, we committed to serving God wherever He was calling and leading us to lead. It has now become clear that our season in Orange County and Tustin Ranch Church is over and that a new season will commence for both you, as well as Cheryl and I.
Our hearts are saddened, because we love you and the people of Orange County but we want to acknowledge all that God has blessed us with and taught us on this particular journey of life. We are also confident that He who started a good work in you and us will bring it to completion. Cheryl and I will commence our new appointment as Divisional Leaders in the Intermountain division commencing August 1st 2023.
