From Couch to Concert: Transform your skills with online Music Lessons
The Creative Arts and Music Program has unveiled an exciting new YouTube channel dedicated to music education called TSA Music Arts.
This amazing channel, created by Alisa Hopper, Director of the Creative Arts and Music Program at the Salvation Army Orange County expands our relatively new program in two ways:
· Instructors film their weekly classes so students can continue to practice at home and progress in their musicianship, leading to intermediate and more advanced classes at the Freer Forte Music School at Anaheim Red Shield.
· A number of students are not able to attend our free classes or private lessons in person, so we want to make these high-quality lessons available and easily accessible to everyone, no matter their age, location, or socioeconomic situation.
“Under the leadership of our incredibly skilled and experienced instructors, we have seen students in the program flourish. I want to see the Lord continue to move through our music on an international scale. We have a slew of instructional videos for each instrument and my plan is to post at least one video per week ranging from 2-5-minutes that provide tips on technique, theory, and performance, to full-length music lessons.”
Viewers can also watch recitals and performances, partnership with Henley Youth Center VBS, summer camps, and more!

How lucky are we to have been blessed with the gift of music from our Father! God has created us with the ability to make music, and music is an important part of worship and praise to God. Ephesians 5:19 states, “Speak to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord.”
There is much more demand than we can provide at this time, and we are looking to hire more teachers to provide more private lessons. Please help support the Freer Forte Music School by donating today and stating “music program” in the comment box.
